The "Lids" are the most striking shapes of selective sandstone weathering. There is a layer as much as 1 m thick of ferrous substances and conglomerates forming the "lids" that are on top of uneven, truncated cones of less resistant sandstone.

The biggest Lid is at the Kokorin Mine by the mouth of the Mocidla gorge. Other ones (Jestrabske poklicky) are harder to access and are located above the Vojtessky Mine.

None of these rocks can be used for climbing.
